Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance
To Be Guest Speaker At
Police Athletic League Business Luncheon, April 18th
Police Athletic League (PAL) announces that Cyrus R. Vance
Jr., District Attorney of New York County, will be the guest
speaker at the April 18, 2012 PAL Business Luncheon.
Mr. Vance is a recognized leader in criminal justice reform
and proposed a compelling vision for moving the Manhattan
District Attorney's Office forward, with a focus on crime
prevention. In addition to handling several high profile
crimes in the past two years, he has consolidated the
resources of the District Attorney's Office by creating the
Cybercrime and Identity Theft Bureau, the Major Economic
Crimes Bureau, the Special Victims Bureau, the Public
Integrity Unit, the Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit, and
the Hate Crimes Unit. Under his leadership, the
groundbreaking Crime Strategies Unit gives Manhattan
Assistant District Attorneys, in partnership with the
New York Police Department, a geographical understanding of
the multifaceted crime issues in all of the communities they
serve.
The PAL Business Luncheons, well known for their speakers,
include Archbishop Timothy Dolan, Mayor Michael Bloomberg,
Governor Chris Christie and Governor Andrew Cuomo. 100% of
ticket sales benefit PAL, as Mutual of America generously
hosts the events. Starting at $150 - $1,000 per seat, the
ticket is 100% tax deductible.
Robert M. Morgenthau has been Chairman of PAL since 1963 and
hosts each Luncheon with PAL Board Member, Red Apple Group
Chairman, John Catsimatidis who organizes the events. WABC
Radio personality Mark Simone moderates the Luncheons. The
audience includes both business and government VIPs.
