A special Taste History Culinary Tour dedicated to
Boynton Beach’s cuisine, art and history

will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012

to kick-off the Holiday Season

Sponsored by Macy’s

Palm Beach County, Florida (Boynton Beach, Florida) - - - To celebrate the holiday season, on Saturday, December 1, 2012, a special Taste History Culinary Tour will be held that exclusively travels to restaurants, art galleries and cultural centers in Boynton Beach, Florida. The Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Palm Beach County is a food eating, art and history program offered by the non-profit Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History (MLFH).

The culinary field trip in Boynton Beach infuses diverse culinary tasting experiences that are Farm-to-Table, Caribbean, Sicilian and Southern American. The Palm Beach Gardens Historical Society previously took the Boynton culinary tour earlier this month which was their first time touring Boynton Beach. The Palm Beach Gardens Historical Society said about the tour “…Boynton is beautiful city and it has a lot of offer.”

The December 1st Taste History Culinary Tour of Historic Boynton Beach is open to the general public and fee is $35 per person, free for children under age 18 (maximum 5 children free). Pre-payment is required. Purchase tickets on-line at www.TasteHistoryCulinaryTours.blogspot.com. Call 561-243-2662.

Taste History combines history, culture and cuisine therefore this gastronomy tour infuses the history of the local area along with visits to historic buildings, cultural centers and art galleries.

Taste History is a four-hour foodcentric narrated excursion of bus riding and four to six blocks of walking through historic districts for alternate visits to eateries, markets and urban farms for food history, food culture facts, foodways information and food tastings. At least three to four eateries are visited per Taste History tour along with visits to historic buildings, cultural centers and art galleries.

The non-profit Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History (MLFH) premiered in October 2011the Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Palm Beach County which is the first food tour of its style in Palm Beach County, Florida. Taste History visits restaurants, cafes, eateries and markets in historic districts and/or buildings and travels to urban farms. Taste History presently offers two tours: Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Delray Beach & Boynton Beach held on the third and fourth Saturdays; and Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Lake Worth & Lantana held on second Saturdays. Private group tours are also available.

Because of the exceeding popularity of the Taste History Culinary Tours, the first seven-months sold-out. To meet the demand for the culinary tours, more dates were added with the tours expanded to include historic Lake Worth and Lantana, Florida in Palm Beach County in addition to the epicurean tour of Delray Beach & Boynton Beach, Florida.

Taste History is sponsored in part by Macy’s. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Additional support for Taste History has been received from bequests from the late Patricia Ann Ravo and the late Boris & Edith Rueger.
