FRIENDSHIP LEAGUE HOSTS 2012 PARTNERS FOR DEMOCRACY AWARDS
DINNER ON NOVEMBER 20th

The America-Israel Friendship League will host
the 2012 Partners for Democracy Awards Dinner on Tuesday,
November 20 at 6:30pm at The Plaza (Fifth Avenue at Central Park
South) in Manhattan. Chaired by AIFI Honorary President Mortimer
B. Zuckerman, Chairman of the Board Kenneth J. Bialkin, Israel
Board of Directors Chairman Ambassador Dan Gillerman and
President Harley Lippman, the program will feature a panel
discussion by prominent American and Israeli figures exploring
the domestic implications of the recent United States
presidential election.
This year’s honorees include Sami Sagol, Chairman of Keter Group
and one of Israel’s most prominent industrialists and
philanthropists, Professor Bernard Lewis, Distinguished
Professor of History Emeritus at Princeton University and
Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of
Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations.
The American-Israel Friendship League is
dedicated to promoting and strengthening the relationship
between the people of the United States and Israel. Neither a
political nor a sectarian organization, AIFL mobilizes broad
support for people-to-people exchanges between Americans and
Israelis of all ages and faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and
political persuasion.
