WHAT:     

The David Lynch Foundation is hosting a "Night of Comedy" at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Saturday, June 30^th at 6:00pm featuring performances by Russell Brand, Sarah Silverman, Garry Shandling and high-profile surprise guests to honor legendary agent, producer and manager, George Shapiro, and raise funds to support veterans and underserved youth.

The red carpet Comedy evening will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, and award's show, with all proceeds benefiting the David Lynch Foundation. There will also be a high-profile auction going live this week on www.CharityBuzz.com , available to fans worldwide, with items donated from luminaries in the comedy, music, fashion, film and sports worlds including:

  Themed "All about George," event producer Aimee Hyatt and event producer and designer, YourBASH!, will be transforming the classic ballroom into a fun, inventive space encapsulating comedy and Shapiro's favorite things.

  A force for decades in the TV comedy world, Shapiro is an award-winning executive producer of "Seinfeld" and the long-time manager for Jerry Seinfeld (and previously, Andy Kaufman). The annual event recognizes exceptional men and women who bring creativity, health, education, peace and happiness to the world and Shapiro will be the first recipient of the "Lifetime of Bliss Award" from the David Lynch Foundation.
