On Thursday, March 8, 2012,
The National Committee on American Foreign Policy (
www.ncafp.org )
will host its annual 2012 Gala Awards Dinner at The Mandarin
Oriental Hotel in New York. This elegant and significant
affair will honor Former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan, The
Honorable Karl W. Eikenberry and Chairman of the Board and
CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, Muhtar Kent. Scott Pelley,
managing editor of the CBS Evening News and correspondent
for 60 Minutes, will be leading the event as Master of
Ceremonies.
The event underscores the important work that the National
Committee does year-round to help advance American foreign
policy interests through Track I 1/2 and Track II diplomacy.
The event is Co-Chaired by Mr. William J. Flynn, The
Honorable Henry A. Kissinger, and The Honorable Paul A.
Volcker, with Qualcomm and The Coca-Cola Company in the
Co-Chair’s Circle.
The Dinner Committee is comprised of Mr. Carter Booth,
John Connorton, Esq., Ms. Edythe M. Holbrook, Richard R.
Howe, Esq., Ms. Rita Z. Mehos, Ms. Hatice U. Morrissey,
Donald S. Rice, Esq., Mr. William M. Rudolf, Dr. George D.
Schwab and
Ms. Grace Kennan Warnecke.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the National
Committee’s educational programs that address security
challenges facing the United States.
