.On Saturday, August 25, 2012 at
6.30 pm, the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New
York, Ewa Junczyk - Ziomecka will host a players'
party for some of this year's US OPEN top tennis stars in
its splendid Beaux Arts De Lamar Mansion in Manhattan. The
special event will honor world class athletes from Poland
and those of Polish descent.
The organizers expect to entertain
over 20 players including 2012 Wimbledon finalist and a
current number two in WTA Tour Singles Ranking, Agnieszka
Radwanska of Poland, as well as Angelique Kerber
of Germany, Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark and
Sabine Lisicki of Germany, respectively.
As well, the long guest list
includes such celebrated players as Mariusz Fyrstenberg &
Marcin Matkowski of Poland, Urszula Radwanska of
Poland, Klaudia Jans-Ignacik of Poland - Double
Wimbledon finalist and Double Canadian Open winner,
Tamira Paszek of Austria, Aleksandra Wozniak of
Canada, Alicia Molik of Australia, Lukasz Kubot
of Poland, Jerzy Janowicz of Poland, and Peter
Luczak of Australia, to name just a few.
Other special guests will include
the former two-time Australian Open champion, Johan Kriek
of South Africa, heavyweight boxing star, Tomasz
Adamek and champion world-class Polish swimmer, Paweł
Korzeniowski.
The party will feature exquisite
Polish-American cuisine (courtesy of AMBER Steak House) and
a special Video Projection including work of two renowned
Polish sports photographers, Andrzej Kentla and
Wojciech Kubik.
