Visiting Nurse
Service of New York
On Thursday,
November 8th, The Visiting Nurse Service of
New York (VNSNY) 2012 Benefit Dinner - “Investing in
Children, Strengthening Families,” will be held at the
Waldorf = Astoria.
That night we will
present the Lillian D. Wald Award to Samuel
C. Butler, Special Counsel at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP,
and to Juliet Patterson, Emeritus Director and
Volunteer Council First VP at VNSNY.
The award, named after the public
health pioneer and founder of VNSNY, is presented
each year in recognition of individuals who have made
significant contributions to the health and welfare of
others.
Proceeds support our
Children and Family Service programs, which provide a
comprehensive array of health care and mental health care
services, as well as several innovative specialty support
services to almost 10,000 children and their families,
making it one of the largest programs of its kind in New
York. Every donation helps to provide care for babies who
have complicated medical needs, vital support for
first-time, low-income mothers, fathers and their babies,
adolescent diabetes care management and pediatric palliative
care programs, and an Early Head Start program.
