Monday, April 8, 2013 at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Allen
Room
WHAT
The World Science Festival Gala: an annual celebration of
the culture and content of science. This year, Broadway
stars and star chefs will present music and dance with the
cuisine of celebrated, experimental chefs. This will be an
extraordinary evening to stimulate the mind, excite the
imagination, and dazzle the taste buds.
Individual tickets start at $750 and are on sale now here.
WHO
Alan Alda will host a show that includes “food-tripping”
with Moto’s star chef Homaro Canu, and a fusion of
performances by World Science Festival director Brian Greene
and Broadway stars: Ann Harada (Avenue Q), Greg Hildreth
(Cinderella), Alex Gemignani (Sweeney Todd), and Peter
Benson (The Mystery of Edwin Drood).
This year’s Gala adds the extra dimension of taste,
with culinary innovators concocting science-inspired
delicacies and molecular cocktails— including:
· Homaro Cantu from Moto and iNG
· Justin Hilbert from Gwynnett St.
· Michael Cirino from a razor, a shiny knife
· Experimental Mixologists from Booker and Dax
Gala will be chaired by Marilyn and Jim Simons and Ann Ziff.

7:30 - Savory science-inspired supper
8:00 - Performance and celebration
9:00 - Champagne reception featuring desserts and cocktails
by culinary innovators prepared with Co2 tanks, liquid
nitrogen, hot-poker, a high-speed evaporator, and a
centrifuge.
