RITA AND ERNIE BONO TO
SERVE AS HONORARY CHAIRS
FOR FRIENDS OF THE SEMINARY 2013
Boynton Beach, Florida – Very Rev. David L. Toups, Rector
and President of St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, has
announced that Rita and Ernie Bono, of the Diocese of St.
Augustine, will serve as Honorary Chairs for the annual
Friends of the Seminary benefit on February 8, 2013. The
Bishops of the State of Florida will be in attendance. The
evening will begin with Solemn Vespers at 6:00 p.m. in St.
Vincent's Chapel on the seminary grounds. A cocktail
reception, silent auction and formal dinner will follow.
“Rita and Ernie exemplify what it is to be good stewards of
the gifts entrusted to them by the Lord, and for that reason
I am so grateful for their "yes" to serve as our
chairpersons this year. They come to us from the mother
diocese of the state, St. Augustine, and are inviting many
friends who might not have previously known of the great
treasure of our seminary and its importance for the future
of the Church in Florida,” remarked Fr. Toups, the Rector
and President of the seminary.
St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary has been forming
exceptional disciples of the Lord for 50 years. “There is
nothing more vital to the future of our church, than priests
to administer the Sacraments,” said Ernie Bono. “It is a
true blessing for Rita and I to be able to give these young
men, who felt the call to priesthood, the opportunity to
discern their calling.”
