BIG
APPLE CIRCUS HOLDS ANNUAL BENEFIT PERFORMANCE FOR OUTREACH
The Big Apple Circus returns to Queens this spring with its
annual performance dedicated to Outreach, a non-profit
premier provider of drug and alcohol abuse treatment and
training services. For 26 years, Outreach and the Big Apple
Circus have joined forces to bring entertainment and support
services to the community.
The Benefit Performance of "Legendarium" will be held
Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows,
beginning at 6:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the sale of circus or raffle tickets
purchased from Outreach for the May 22nd show will benefit
the expansion and enhancement of addiction treatment and
training services.
The show will begin with a special ceremony in the ring with
Vincent Dragone, Senior Field Vice President of Mutual of
America who is chairman of the event. Queens Borough
President Helen Marshall will return as Honorary Ringmaster.
Now in its 35th season, the Big Apple Circus continues to
wow audiences with creative entertainment featuring
prominent circus artists from around the world. In
traditional circus fashion, the Big Apple Circus is renowned
for its cutting-edge acrobatics, jugglers, balancing acts,
and trapeze flyers - all performed under an intimate
big-top, with no guest seated more than 50 feet from the
ring.
"Working with the Big Apple Circus for the past 26 years has
been a gratifying experience," said Kathleen Riddle,
President of Outreach. "It's always a fun-filled evening
that combines family entertainment with the spirit of
generosity and helping others. It is truly an exciting event
that the community
looks forward to each year."
A raffle priced at $2 per ticket, $20 per book (12 tickets)
will be part of the evening, with prizes to include:
Two Air Travel Passes on JetBlue
Dinner for Two at Cipriani Restaurant
A football autographed by the New York Jets 2012 Team
A Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader, 3G with 6" Display
Four Tickets to the Big Apple Circus (Lincoln Center Event)
Four Tickets to the Brooklyn Cyclones 2013 Season
Tickets to see Late Show with David Letterman at the
Ed Sullivan Theater
Individual ticket prices for the benefit performance range
from $40 for center ringside to $15 for side grandstand.
