Parkinson's Disease Foundation CARNAVAL Event
Wednesday, January 30, 2013
|
The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) has announced that,
due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy, its annual CARNAVAL
will be postponed to Wednesday, January 30, 2013. The event
will be at SLATE located at 54 West 21st Street in New York
City.
The Parkinson's Disease Foundation is a leading national
presence in Parkinson's disease research, education and
public advocacy. Created by William Black, the founder of
Chock full o'Nuts, a successful New York coffee and
restaurant business, PDF was the first national
not-for-profit organization to focus on Parkinson's disease.
PDF is working for the nearly one million people in the US
who live with Parkinson's by funding promising scientific
research while supporting people living with Parkinson's
through educational programs and services. Since its
founding in 1957, PDF has dedicated over $96 million to fund
the work of leading scientists throughout the world and over
$40 million to support national education and advocacy
programs.
