The Expressionist Painter
Michelle-Marie Heinemann
 will have a month long exhibition at the magnificent
Gstaad Palace in Switzerland.
The exhibition will run from Nov. 15th - Dec. 15th. 2013.

The show is titled
"The Sleep"
and was inspired by the artist's children.
" As I watch my children sleep with their innocent and peaceful faces
 I realize sleep is a behavioral state that is a natural part
 of every individual's life.

We spend about one third of our lives asleep...it is a required activity,
 not an option, and needed for survival.

 There are still so many unanswered questions about the reasons for sleep,
 it's exact function, and how physiological processes are involved.
 On canvas I explore this extraordinary event
we attend every night."

 

A private reception will be held in the artist's honor
on the evening of
Nov. 14th at 6:00 p.m.
 at
La Grande Terrasse
in the Gstaad Palace.
