Mount Sinai will host a Women’s Health Day of
Learning and Luncheon on Thursday,
November 14, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Plaza Hotel.
The event will benefit Mount Sinai’s Women’s Health
Initiatives, which focus on the promotion of health, safety
and quality of life across the entire spectrum of a woman’s
life.
Chaired by Bianna Golodryga, Margaret Munzer
Loeb and Jane G. Rittmaster, the event will begin with
attendance at one of three educational seminars. Focusing
on top health issues affecting women, the seminar choices
include “Guts and Good Health: A Woman’s Practical Guide to
Preventing Gastrointestinal Cancer,” which will concentrate
on gastrointestinal health and cancer prevention in women;
“The Heart of the Matter,” which will discuss women’s
cardiovascular concerns; and “The Hot and Cold Truth,” which
will address issues concerning hormonal changes and the
resulting effects on women’s health. Following the
seminars, the luncheon will begin at noon and features Arianna
Huffington as
the keynote speaker.
Funds raised at the Women’s Health Day of
Learning and Luncheon will enable Mount Sinai to maintain
its leadership in research and development of cutting edge
advances to improve health care for woman. Proceeds will
also provide important resources and services to meet the
needs of all women in the communities they serve.
