Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner Event Returns to
Old Palm Golf Club, March 3-4, 201

Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Before the games on the greens take
place, the supporters, friends and staff of Place of Hope
will take a moment to acknowledge the commitment shown by
ordinary people with an extraordinary capacity to care.
Debbie Butler of Palm Beach Gardens will accept the Pande
Family Award on behalf of her and her late husband, Abbey J.
Butler – both of whom have mentored and guided Place of Hope
youth for more than eight years – at the 2013 Place of Hope
Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner.
The Pande Family Award recognizes a long-standing dedication
to turning around the lives of abused and neglected
children.
The Butlers will be recognized at the dinner, which kicks
off the annual event on March 3-4, 2013 at the Old Palm Golf
Club. The Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner welcomes Place
of Hope supporters from across the country to raise
operating funds for programs, housing, services and
outreach. Based in Palm Beach Gardens, Place of Hope is a
faith-based, state-licensed child welfare organization that
provides family-style foster care (emergency and long-term);
family outreach and intervention; maternity care; safety for
domestic minor sexually trafficked victims; transitional
housing and support services; adoption and foster care
recruitment and support; hope and healing opportunities for
children and families who have been traumatized by abuse and
neglect. Presenting sponsors JB and Chuck Wall make it
possible for 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit the
children.
“The work that is done at Place of Hope – building families
and making a real difference – would not be possible without
the generosity of people like Debbie and Abbey J. Butler,”
said Place of Hope Event Chair George Henderson.
“The Butlers’ work has translated into young men and women
knowing that people truly care about their well-being,
education and future, just as parents would,” said Executive
Director Charles Bender. “Setting an example for
responsibility and love takes a real dedication to showing
up and truly being there for these children, and it is not a
commitment that Debbie and Abbey took lightly. The Place of
Hope family appreciates their wonderful work.”
Place of Hope Golf Invitational & Charity Dinner will begin
at 5:30 p.m. March 3, 2013, at Old Palm Golf Club with a
dinner and auction event, followed with the golf tournament
at 8 a.m. March 4, 2013, also at Old Palm Golf Club, 11089 Old
Palm Drive, Palm Beach Gardens.
