"SING OUT, RAISE HOPE," a benefit concert featuring the
nation’s premier vocal groups and Broadway star CHRISTINE
EBERSOLE, will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at
The Town Hall in New York City. Presented by the Association
of Yale Alumni and the Yale Whiffenpoofs Alumni Association
the evening will benefit The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS
Foundation (www.pedaids.org). The Yale Whiffenpoofs,the NYU
N’Harmonics, The Young People’s Chorus of New York City--
and special guest Broadway Legend Christine Ebersole – will
perform a cappella and choral renditions of American jazz
classics, contemporary pop-hits, holiday favorites, and
more.
WHAT – One of three annual benefit concerts produced
in New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco by the
Association of Yale Alumni and the Yale Whiffenpoofs, "SING
OUT, RAISE HOPE" brings together the talents and resources
of notable alumni and student groups from Yale and NYU along
with the internationally renowned Young People’s Chorus of
New York City. Previous celebrity guest-performers have
included Idina Menzel, Deborah Cox, Darren Criss, Zooey
Deschanel, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. This annual January
performance supports the life-saving initiatives of the
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

ABOUT CHRISTINE EBERSOLE
Two-time Tony Award winning actress Christine Ebersole has
captivated audiences throughout her performing career, from
the Broadway stage to television series and specials, films,
concert appearances, and recordings. She recently finished
filming the upcoming Martin Scorsese crime drama The Wolf of
Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio. This spring Ms.
Ebersole will co-star with Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton
in the comedy The Big Wedding. In addition, the film will
also feature an original composition she wrote for the end
credits. On television, Ms. Ebersole currently stars in the
hit TBS sitcom “Sullivan and Son.” In addition to her acting
projects, Ms. Ebersole is set to release a new album this
spring entitled Strings Attached.
ABOUT THE WHIFFENPOOFS OF YALE UNIVERSITY
Every year, 14 senior Yale men are selected to be in the
Whiffenpoofs, the world's oldest and most famous collegiate
a cappella group. Founded in 1909, the "Whiffs" began as a
senior quartet that met for weekly concerts at Mory's Temple
Bar, the famous Yale tavern. Today, the group has become one
of Yale's most celebrated and hallowed traditions,
maintaining a performance schedule of 150-200 concerts
annually in addition to recording an album and embarking on
a three-month, twenty-five country world tour. The group has
performed for the likes of Presidents Bush 1, Bush 2, and
Clinton, Mother Teresa, Ella Fitzgerald, Gladys Knight, and
Elvis Presley, in sold- out venues such as Carnegie Hall and
the Lincoln Center, and for such events as the Rose Bowl, “SNL”,
“The Today Show”, “The West Wing”, and NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”
ABOUT THE NYU N’HARMONICS
The N'harmonics are NYU's loudest, co-ed, rock out a
cappella group! Featuring a diverse group of passionate
students, the vocal band has been creating a unique sound
blending soul, rock, and pop since 1997. Numerous
N’Harmonics alumni have gone on to have successful careers
in theater, music, television, and film. When you listen to
the N'harms expect seriously tight harmonies, waterfall
riffing, extremely high belting, and insane beat boxing,
among a slew of other vocal acrobatics! The group has
performed at venues such as Joe's Pub, The Bowery Poetry
