comedian to South Florida for an unforgettable performance
all to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County
The seventh annual Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance presented
by Mercedes-Benz is pleased to announce that legendary
comedic icon Bob Newhart will perform on February 23, 2013
at the black-tie optional Gala Dinner Auction & Show held at
the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida.
Bob Newhart's career has spanned two successful television
shows, fourteen feature films, sold millions of albums
worldwide and still performs to sell-out crowds all over the
country. Fans flock to Bob's live performances to hear such
Newhart standards as The Driving Instructor, Sir Walter
Raleigh, and The Submarine Commander. These timeless
classics are enjoyed by young and old alike in sold-out
concert halls across America.
Although the award-winning comedian has enjoyed a successful
career in television and feature films, he has never strayed
far from his first love of performing stand-up. Newhart
continues to perform to sellout crowds across the country
and abroad. His infamous routines have stood the test of
time and are still enjoyed by millions of fans, and will no
doubt be a part of his performance during the seventh annual
Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance.
The seventh annual Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance presented
by Mercedes-Benz is honoring the 50th anniversary of
Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce and Bentley as the featured
marques with a tremendous celebration February 22-24, 2013
at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida. The
three-day series of extravagant events benefits the Boys &
Girls Clubs of Broward County.
Friday kicks off the weekend of events with the duPont
Registry Live Hangar Party at the Boca Raton Airport. The
evening offers guests a chance to experience select gourmet
tastings from more than 20 of South Florida?s finest
restaurants and peruse a fine display of exotic cars, custom
motorcycles, extravagant boats, private jets, vintage
aircrafts, luxury motor coaches, premier vendors, and more.
New at this year's Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance Bonhams
will be hosting a spectacular Automobile, Motorcycle,
Memorabilia & Jewelry Auction to benefit the Boys & Girls
Clubs of Broward County on Friday and Saturday. One of the
world's oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art, classic
and vintage automobiles and collectables, Bonhams are now
established in 25 countries on five continents.
Saturday evening features the black-tie optional Gala Dinner
Auction & Show at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Guests will
enjoy a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by a
seated dinner and live auction featuring some of the
first-in-the-country all new exotic cars, one-of-a-kind
trips and experience packages, luxury jewelry, and more.
Guests will also enjoy the presentation of the Automotive
Lifetime Achievement Award to JM Family Enterprises, Inc.
and Emerson Fittipaldi, and the Lee Iacocca Award to Steve
Wolf, along with a stellar performance by legendary comedic
icon Bob Newhart. Previous performers have included Jay
Leno, Bill Cosby, Howie Mandel, Dennis Miller and Dana
Carvey.
Sunday concludes the weekend of festivities with an
Automobile & Motorcycle Exhibition that spans all eras on
the newly-renovated and expanded showfield at the Boca Raton
Resort & Club. Car and motorcycle fanatics from around the
world will get to experience an automotive showcase like no
other, featuring more than 200 of the finest collector cars
and motorcycles from around the country. An expert panel of
judges will select the finest vintage, antique, classic and
exotic vehicles based on period, presentation and overall
style, with an awards presentation to winning entries led by
Grand Marshal Keith Martin.
Once the show kicks off, guests are invited to walk through
a series of amazing vendor tents including the 2013 Boca
Raton
Concours d'Elegance tent which will offer hats, t-shirts and
commemorative Concours program magazines, posters and pins
from previous years and this year. Guests can also enjoy a
selection of gourmet food, wine and cocktails from more than
30 of South Florida?s finest restaurants at the Concours
d'Gourmet Pavilion.
