Speaker
On Sunday,
March 2, 2014 beginning at 11a.m. CARP
will celebrate its 19th Annual
Spring Luncheon at
The Kravis Center. Along
with enjoying a sumptuous luncheon and inspiring Guest
Speaker, Jennifer Gimenez, guests will have the opportunity
to bid on numerous live and silent auction items. As the
Guest Speaker Ms. Gimenez will recount her personal
experience with alcohol dependency and share her remarkable
story of transformation from dependency to her discovery of
a deeper love and professional success. Jennifer
Gimenez is rapidly emerging as one of Hollywood's brightest
talents. She has proven her merit not only as a supermodel,
but also as an actress, reality star and expert panelist on
addiction, health, fitness and fashion.
Ms. Gimenez has
achieved supermodel status through the nearly 100 magazine
covers she has graced and she was the youngest model ever to
appear on the cover of American Elle. Among her other covers
are international editions of Elle, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar
and Marie Claire. She has appeared in runway shows around
the world and walked the runway of every major designer to
include Alaia, Armani, Calvin Klein, Chanel and Prada.
Gimenez's sex appeal led her to being named one of Maxim's
"Hot 100" and Esquire's "Women We Love."
Ms. Gimenez went
on to appear in music videos for such renowned recording
artists as Mick Jagger, Prince, 2Pac Shakur and Babyface.
Following television roles on The Young and The Restless and
The Bold and The Beautiful, Jennifer landed her first major
film role in Ted Demme's Blow, starring alongside Johnny
Depp.
As Ms. Gimenez's
career grew and stardom took hold, she found herself victim
to drug addiction and alcohol abuse. But after nearly 7
years of sobriety, Ms.Gimenez has used her courageous
recovery to help others. She appeared as the house manager
of VH1's hit television show, Sober House Seasons 1 and 2
and drug counselor on VH1's Celebrity Rehab Season 5, and
2012's Rehab with Dr. Drew.
She has also
appeared on The O'Neal's on OWN, as a judge on Model Latina
for SiTV, and season 2, 3 of The Real Housewives of Beverly
Hills. Jennifer is currently on season 4 of Housewives of
Beverly Hills on Bravo.
Also, in 2013
Jennifer embarked on a new journey launching SoberBook.com
monthly Magazine and website. It was created for people to
share their story and journey of overcoming obstacles,
adversity and issues.
All proceeds from the event
support programs for some of our community’s most challenged
