CELEBRATING KiDS OF NYU AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE
KiDS of NYU Springfling will
honor Trudy Elbaum Gottesman, Vice-Chair, KiDS of NYU and
NYU Langone Trustee, Robert W. Gottesman, Chief Executive
Officer, First Manhattan Co., and J. Thomas Roland Jr., MD,
Mendik Foundation Professor of Otolaryngology and Chair,
Department of Otolaryngology, NYU Langone. Proceeds will
benefit the KiDS of NYU Foundation, Inc. that provides funds
to inpatient and outpatient programs that serve children
throughout NYU Langone Medical Center. This
year’s annual gala will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014
with cocktails beginning at 6:30 PM and dinner at 7:30 PM at
the Plaza Hotel.
Founded in 1991 by a group of parents and pediatric
physicians, KiDs works in partnership with the Medical
center to enhance clinical and supportive care for children
and families, to fund research into childhood illnesses, and
to promote a nurturing environment that enables children to
be children. KiDS fulfills important needs, often through
multi-year gifts, by lending support that may not be
available from the hospital budget or other sources. For
