Opportunity Knocks and The
Breakers doors opened at 7pmon Friday, March 28th to
celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Opportunity
Inc. for a celebratory Gala and evening of fun as we “bring
generations together”. Our MC for the evening is Steve
Weagle as
we dance the evening away to themusic of The Soul Survivor
band. The event is chaired by Tara Gronberg, Millie Dayton
and Emanuela Marcello.
Opportunity, Inc.
was founded, by members of the Women’s Guild from Bethesda
by the Sea, Episcopal Church, in 1939. Opportunity, Inc.,
is the oldest charity in the Palm Beaches, and has made
major contributions to the less fortunate in the community,
with emphasis on low income families. Programs and
activities have been consistently designed and conducted in
order to “break the cycle” of poverty in our Community. The
current activities are centered on early childhood learning
at the Mary Alice Fortin Center in Westgate.
