His release from Prison.
The Klein Memorial Auditorium, Bridgeport, CT, Presents this
Groundbreaking performance for Peace and Reconciliation
NELSON MANDELA whose voice resonates for all time and all
people as a symbol of great Hope and Forgiveness is being
honored in Bridgeport, CT. His voice goes beyond race,
beyond politics and gives us hope, vision and inspiration on
how to build a better world for all of us. In this unique
partnership, The Klein is welcoming the artists and
performers of FOOTSTEPS
OF MANDELA to
an appearance on Sunday, February 8th at
3 pm. ALL ARE WELCOME, and tickets can be purchased by
calling 1-800 424 0160 or
www.theklein.org for this celebration of his life, his
work and his enduring legacy.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH has become a time for us to celebrate
the contributions of our fellow Americans to our nation. It
is also a time for dialogue as we confront a troubled
history, but hopefully not a future. MANDELA symbolized the
voice of reason, and he is joined by other great symbols of
Peace, Hope and
Reconciliation, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and the
newest voice reaching beyond violence, Nobel Laureate Malala.
We believe that an interview with Joel A. Martin, whose
vision created FOOTSTEPS
OF MANDELA and
Laurence Caso of The Klein will offer insight and background
into the work and times of this legendary Leader. Attached
is the flyer of the February 8thconcert, and we
invite you to cover this. We will also call next week to
set up an appointment for you to speak with these men and
create a story which resonates with the issues of our day.
We look forward to speaking with you very soon.
