ANNUAL LONG ISLAND LUNCHEON
HONORING FREDERICK C. JOHS and RICHARD O'KANE
TO
BE HELD WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10th
Outreach, New York's leading nonprofit provider of
life-changing drug and alcohol abuse treatment, will honor
two prominent business leaders at the organization's
21st annual Long Island Luncheon on Wednesday,
June 10, 2015. The event begins at noon at
Outreach House, 400 Crooked Hill Road in Brentwood.
This year's honorees are Frederick C. Johs, Partner, Lewis
Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP, and Richard O'Kane, President,
Building & Construction Trades Council of Nassau &
Suffolk Counties. Brian Edwards, Executive Vice President
and Managing Director of the Retail Banking Group, Astoria
Bank, is the luncheon chairman.
Now in its 35th year of operation, Outreach is a nonprofit
organization committed to addressing the issues stemming
from drug and alcohol abuse by providing the highest quality
of life-changing drug and alcohol treatment and staff
training services. The agency is best known for its services
for teenagers and their families; it has two residential
programs dedicated to adolescent services and a number of
outpatient programs.
"Outreach could not continue its advancement and growth
without help from our esteemed friends and colleagues in the
Long Island business community" said Kathleen Riddle,
President of Outreach. "This year's honorees have devoted
invaluable time and service to our organization. They are
helping combat a serious issue plaguing so many families and
individuals here on Long Island and elsewhere."
