WHAT:
Members
of New York City’s philanthropic, government,
legal, social justice and gender violence communities will
join forces with Sanctuary
for Families at
its annual “Zero
Tolerance Benefit” –
demanding an end to all forms of gender violence. Sanctuary
for Families is
a leading nonprofit dedicated to serving survivors of
domestic violence and sex trafficking, and their children.
The fundraiser will begin at 6:30
p.m. at Pier
Sixty, Chelsea Piers.
Mike Sharp,
General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Jefferies
Group, the global investment banking firm, will receive the Zero
Tolerance Award for
his long standing commitment to Sanctuary’s work to end
gender violence. Weil,
Gotshal & Manges LLP will
receive the Law
Firm Leadership Award for
their tireless and effective pro bono work on behalf of
Sanctuary’s clients.
The evening will offer a cocktail reception,
exclusive raffle and silent auction, dinner and an
after-dinner dance party hosted by DJ
Grandmaster Flash, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
