Old Bags Luncheon offers an added surprise

The 17th Annual
Old Bags Luncheon to benefit the Center for Family
Services of Palm Beach County will provide an added
surprise for the 550 attendees at this sold out event.
Co-chair Janet Levy and
Palm Beach author Richard Rene Silvin will provide
guests copies of the local best seller, “Villa
Mizner, The House that Changed Palm Beach”. “Villa
Mizner” chronicles
the extraordinary career of society architect Addison
Mizner from his rise in the 1920’s as a favorite of Palm
Beach society to his fall from grace in the early
1930’s. The book follows the history of the 38 grand
estates Mizner designed and furnished, including his
ultimate creation, Villa Mizner on Worth Avenue across
from another achievement, The Everglades Club.
The Old Bags Luncheon
will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at The Breakers
Hotel. It starts with a silent auction at 10:30 a.m. to
bid on designer handbags. The luncheon begins at noon.
Guest speaker is the glamorous Hollywood icon, Dame
Joan Collins. The Old Bags Luncheon benefits the Center
for Family Services of Palm Beach County.
