Secretary-General of the United Nations,
His Excellency Mr. Ban Ki-moon,
will be  honored with the

“Citizen of the World Award”

by the Hospitality Committee for United Nations Delegations
at their annual Ambassadors’ Ball
at the Metropolitan Club on Thursday, December 17. 

In addition, the HCUND will also honor
Mrs. Geraldine (“Geri”) Kunstadter
with the “Humanitarian Award”

 for her work the
 Albert Kunstadter Family Foundation
and the United Nations.

The Ambassadors’ Ball

 is the primary support for the work of the 61-year-old
HCUND,
which provides new delegates and their families with a warm and personal welcome to New York via educational and cultural programs,
including English language classes.

The evening will begin at 7:00 pm
with cocktails, dancing, and a preview of the silent auction,
including opportunities to bid on dinners with a number
of Ambassadors at their residences. 

Many of the Ambassadors will be present,
as will leading members of the business community. 

 Dinner begins at 8:00 P.M.
and will be followed by a live auction by Sotheby’s.
 The live auction will feature a “world” of fabulous trips
—one to each seven continents—and more!
