American Heart Association Announces
8th Annual
Healing Heart 5K Run/Walk
The American Heart Association’s 8th Annual
Healing Heart 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, November
20, 2016, on the property of the beautiful Pugliese
Vineyards in the heart of the Long Island wine country in
Cutchogue. Hundreds of runners are expected on this new
course through the Vineyard.
Day of event registration begins at 8:00 a.m., with the fun
run for children 10 and under beginning at 10:00 a.m. and
the 3.1 mile off road race beginning at 10:15 a.m.
Following the race, the awards ceremony will take place at
11:15 a.m. with awards being given to the top male and
female runners along with the top runners in various age
categories. A health expo will also be available during the
event open to all participants.
The Healing Heart 5K hopes to raise awareness that heart
disease is the number one killer of men and women across the
country and here on Long Island. The event creates a
culture of health and physical activity, giving families the
opportunity to participate in heart healthy activities
together.
