L.A. Lakers Girls to Cheer on Participants at
Walk To End Epilepsy at The Rose Bowl

More than 6000 Expected at 5K Walk / Run in Support
of Care, Advocacy, Research and Awareness
WHAT: The
L.A. Lakers Girls will be on hand in the morning to cheer on
participants of The Walk to End Epilepsy at Pasadena’s Rose
Bowl on Sunday, November 6, 2016. The L.A. Lakers Girls
will also be available for photographs and for signing
autographs.
All proceeds for the Walk To End Epilepsy support programs
including: the Epilepsy Helpline, Teen/Family Camps, the
Big Brain Exhibit, Therapy Groups, Statewide Advocacy,
Seizure First Aid and Seizure Recognition training for
school/workplace/first responders, Research and Care+Cure
initiatives to speed referral to epilepsy specialists.
WHY: November
is Epilepsy Awareness Month. Approximately 5.1 Million
people in the United States have had a diagnosis of epilepsy
or a seizure disorder. With 150,000 new cases of epilepsy
each year in the United States, 1 in 26 people will develop
epilepsy in their lifetime.
WHO: More
than 4,000 participated in the 2015 event and we anticipate
adding 2,000 more this year.

6, 2016 from 8AM to 12PM
