Rippon, will join the students of Figure Skating
in Harlem and gala guests for the 20th Anniversary
Gala. Joining these skaters on and off the dance floor will
be fashion icon Vera
Wang, business mogul Terry
Lundgren and
actor/director/producer Tamara
Tunie and
more. The evening will celebrate Figure Skating
in Harlem’s one-of-a-kind education, health, and fitness
programs for underserved
girls and its expansion to Detroit.
As a special
treat, guests will enjoy a performance by Brooklyn
United.
Now in its
momentous 20th year, Figure Skating in Harlem remains
the first and
only organization
in the country that combines the power of education with the
grace and discipline of figure skating to help girls
transform their lives. Through its unique programming, FSH
provides girls with innovative skating and education
programs that promote academic success, physical health, and
emotional well-being. Recent graduates of the program have
gone on to Brown University, Boston College, Howard University,
and others.
