ABOUT | Frontotemporal
degeneration (FTD) is the most common dementia for people
under 60. The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) offers
comprehensive help, information and support for all affected
by FTD, while driving research for a cure. We envision a
world with compassionate care, effective support, and a
future free of FTD. The
2018 Hope Rising Benefit is the largest benefit event ever
hosted by AFTD. By gathering in New York City on 10/17, we
seek to accelerate AFTD’s mission, foster hope for our
community and change how the public sees dementia. Hope
Rising attendees will play a vital role in helping AFTD
advance: collaborative research; increased awareness; vital
support for those directly impacted; education for
healthcare professionals; and advocacy for appropriate,
affordable services.
