On October
17th from
5:00pm to 8:00pm EST at
the Adorama in New York City, the John
Lennon Educational Tour Bus will
be hosting a culminating event and gallery exhibition of
student art work created during the fifth annual Come
Together NYC residency .
Final projects on display will
include everything from original songs, music
videos, documentary films and photography projects
created by students with help from artist
ambassadors/mentors Ringo
Starr, Yoko Ono, Jeff Bridges, famous rock
photographers Henry Diltz and Bob Gruen, celebrity
Chef Franco Noriega, artist/songwriter/activist
Michael Angelakos from Passion Pit.
Other event
highlights to look forward to are a live
performance from American psychedelic rock band
and viral sensations, Blac Rabbit, a “Bed-In”
photobooth station in tribute to John Lennon and
Yoko Ono’s legendary non-violent protests in
support of world peace, gear giveaways and
remarks from local political and school leaders.
The event is free and open to
the public. Local students, community
members, supporters, artists, activists are
encouraged to join the festivities.
