What: In celebration of the Metropolitan
Opera’s Fall 2023 Season, the Madison Avenue
B.I.D. invites the opera loving public to a
free, live public performance to kick-off the
ten-day “Metropolitan Opera on Madison Avenue”
festival October 12-22. Metropolitan Opera
Lindemann Young Artists Amanda Batisa (Soprano)
and Eleomar Cuello (Baritone) - will perform a
repertoire of arias and duets. Following the
performance, the Metropolitan Opera will come to
life in participating stores and businesses on
Madison Avenue. Opera will imbue the evening
with talks by Metropolitan Opera artistic
leaders, in-store performances, and displays of
costumes, accessories and set designs from the
Met’s archives. For event programming:
Organized by the Madison Avenue B.I.D., in
partnership with the Metropolitan Opera, “The
Metropolitan Opera on Madison Avenue” shall
benefit this iconic New York City cultural
institution.
