Newport Polo is
pleased to announce the beneficiaries of its
24th annual charity gala, Singapore Swing, Presented by BD
on Friday, August 1, 2025.
For over two
decades, this highly anticipated event has helped Newport
Polo and its philanthropic partners raise nearly $2.2
million for nonprofit initiatives. This year’s proceeds will
champion RI’s most urgent environmental missions by
benefiting Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District, Roger
Williams Park Zoo, Save The Bay and Newport Tree
Conservancy.
This season, where
the land meets the sea, our mission turns to preservation.
In 2025, we are proud to champion local environmental
initiatives that protect Newport’s coastal beauty and marine
ecosystems—the very elements that define our community’s
spirit and the backdrop to our sport. From safeguarding our
beaches and bays to supporting green innovations and
conservation partners, we are committed to ensuring that
this iconic meeting place of land and sea endures for
generations to come.
Newport Polo’s 24th
annual black-tie charity gala —a flora & fauna-inspired
midsummer fête celebrates environmental philanthropy with
the return of the Singapore Polo Team as guests of honor,
from the Garden City - a sanctuary of sustainable living.
Hosted at the fabled Rosecliff Mansion on Bellevue Avenue,
this dazzling affair will unite polo’s elite and Newport’s
social set for a cause that matters.
With generous team
support by Vanderbilt International Properties, enhanced
celebrations by Palm Beach Motor Yachts, a gin sling bar
curated by The Cocktail Guru and Tito’s, plus entertainment
in the Redfin Premier Ballroom - and soon to be named Gala
Hotel & Pre Party host - guests can expect an evening of
unparalleled elegance and revelry.
“We’re honored to be
the beneficiary of this year’s Newport Polo Gala,” said
Nancy Parker Wilson, Chair of the Eastern Rhode Island
Conservation District and owner of Greenvale Vineyards. “As
a farmer, I know how vital healthy soil and clean water
are—not just for agriculture, but for our whole community.
We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting event alongside
the international team from Singapore—it’s a fun and elegant
way to celebrate global connection and environmental
stewardship for a more sustainable future”.
“We are excited to
partner with the Newport Polo for their annual ball and help
spread the word about our mission to protect and improve
Narragansett Bay and its watershed,” said Topher Hamblett,
Save The Bay‘s Executive Director. “It’s an honor to be
listed among the many nonprofit recipients doing great work
on and around Aquidneck Island.”
“The Roger Williams
Park Zoo is grateful for the opportunity to participate in
this fundraising effort with Newport Polo to support its
conservation programs,” stated Stacey Johnson, Executive
Director, Roger Williams Park Zoo.
“The Newport Tree
Conservancy is very appreciative of the support of Newport
Polo. As a community, working together is the best way to
expand impact. Together we are making a difference and
planting for the future. Thank you Newport Polo!” commented
Natasha Harrison, Executive Director, Newport Tree
Conservancy.

community that we’ve been a part of for over 100 years.” For

Ambassadors. “We invite you to join us in raising our
paddles to support this progressive goal.”

Proceeds from the auctions will support the named
beneficiaries.

ABOUT ROSECLIFF

garden retreat of French Kings at Versailles, the Grand
Trianon. Upon completion in 1902, Rosecliff was the site of
many fabulous entertainments. Gala attendees are entertained
in the same room where Harry Houdini performed his renowned
slights of hand at Mrs. Oelrich’s fairy tale dinner party.
