Palm Beach
Gardens, FL (April 29, 2009) It was a gorgeous South
Florida night – the evening was electrifying as Palm
Beach Gardens, Legacy Place shimmered - and all
ingredients came together for the American Lung
Association of Florida who brought its successful
culinary event to the unique outdoor destination of
Legacy Place. “The American Lung Association’s
Food & Wine Experience in Legacy Place was an incredible
success. In today’s economy, it was a great way to
sample so many fantastic local restaurants while also
supporting such a worthy cause.
The wide variety of fine gourmet food and wine and the
beautiful South Florida weather blended perfectly to
make this an amazing experience,” remarked Tammy
Clarke, Advisory Board
President of the
American Lung Association of Florida.
Contributing to
the successful mix of the evening were over forty area
restaurants, sampling of 16 different wines from Total
Wine & More and several wines from Publix Greenwise
Market. There were also martini and beer samplings, an
eye-catching belly dancer from Greek restaurant Ouzo
Blue, a dancing cow from Chick-fil-A and live music and
entertainment provided by radio celebrities Mo and Sally
from KOOL 105.5 FM.
The Legacy Village
merchants also provided everything from Guitar Hero
video game from Play ‘n’ Trade to chair massages from
Salon Z. The organization produced a truly winning
recipe for the inaugural Legacy Place Food
Wine and Art Experience, an annual benefit for the
American Lung Association of Florida.
The event
took place on April 23rd, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and was
graced by cloudless skies and perfect temperatures –
ideal for the almost 800 attendees strolling amid
taste-tempting vendors offering delicious foods and
wines.
The American Lung Association of Florida was happy to
partner with Legacy Place to showcase the shopping and
dining destination where there is truly something for
everyone.
“Legacy Place was
delighted to host the first annual Legacy Place Food
and Wine Experience, benefiting the American Lung
Association. Over 800 attendees were on hand to visit
Legacy and experience all we have to offer. We are
thrilled to be the host sponsor of the area's premier
event,” said Mary Lou Fogerty, Legacy Place Property
Manager.
Law-enforcement
from the city of Palm Beach Gardens was on hand and
skillfully utilized the occasion to demonstrate the
capabilities of their department. Members of their team
exhibited a strong presence as they patrolled the venue
in a variety of Sheriff vehicles that included patrol
cars, and 2-wheeled Segways.
