Victoria is
making
Victory in
the world of
pageantry,
making
Connecticut
proud as the
reigning
‘International
Teen Belleza
Latina
Pageant’
Queen.
Victoria is
no amateur
when it
comes to
modeling and
the
pageantry
world.
Though
Victoria, a
proud local
New Haven,
CT resident,
has been
modeling
since age
11, which is
considered a
late start
among other
peers in the
area of show
business,
she is
moving up
quite
hastily in
the national
ranks, but
with
endurance
attached.
"I
am not
coming home
until I get
my dreams,"
was the
quote on her
website
page.
Perhaps some
would
hesitate, or
give up
after 4
years of
commitment
in the
field, but
her faith
keeps her
going. After
months of
hard work
and reaching
a first goal
of winning 1st
place at the
Connecticut
State
Belleza
Latina
Pageant in
January
2009, it was
off to
Florida in
July, to
compete for
the
International
title. The
competition
was rigorous
according to
Victoria,
which
included 6
other teens.
Victoria’s
platform is
teen
outreach.
She has the
desire to
get the
youth
involved in
positive
activities
and offers
support and
guidance
whenever
they need
it. Though
she has a
subtle
personality,
her winning
attitude and
desire to
succeed is
hardly
restraint.
She wants to
give other
youth the
message that
no matter
how hard a
dream is,
that anyone
can make it
with
dedication.
Victoria is
very active
in her
community,
and has
participated
in or helped
with several
community
events and
fashion
shows. She
has received
special
recognition
from the
Mayor of New
Haven in
honor of
winning the
Miss Teen
Belleza
Connecticut
state title.
In her spare
time she
writes
poetry and
likes to
take walks
and is
multi-talented
with
exceptional
abilities in
singing,
modeling,
acting,
public
speaking and
cultural
dance.
Victoria
started with
Fashion
Models
Institute in
2005, but
has always
had an
interest in
the
performing
arts. Since
then, this
is the 2nd
time
Victoria has
won a 1st
place
national
title after
competing in
a pageant.
She is
committed to
her title as
the new
‘International
Teen Belleza
Latina’
Queen.
Currently,
at age 17,
Victoria has
earned a
role,
currently
working as
an Assistant
Manager at
Interface
Talent
Network.
Her career
goals
include
being a
lawyer, with
goals to
study
sociology
and
attending an
arts school.
The Miss
Belleza
Latina
Pageant in
Connecticut,
is run by
Connecticut
State
Director,
Marisol
Vega, and
has a goal
to develop
role models,
encourage
education,
achieve
personal
accomplishments
and
encourage
positive
family
values. It
allows
Latinas to
be judged on
individual
beauty,
pride, and
personal
achievements.
The three
main
categories
of the
competition
include
interview,
fashion wear
and evening
gown.
Other
winners
include
Jeannette
Rivera, 1st
runner up in
the Miss
division.
Jillian
Lopez, 1st
runner up in
the Petite
division and
Yaritza
Santiago, 2nd
runner up in
the Miss Jr.
Teen
division.
Victoria’s
goal with
the pageant
is to travel
to different
venues to
spread the
word about
the endless
possibilities
of achieving
one’s
dreams. For
