Over 70 friends and
supporters gathered for The Carter
Burden Center for the Aging’s 2009
Annual Spring Benefit Wine Tasting
Event at Le Dû’s Wines at 600 Washington Street
in Manhattan. Guests were treated to a sampling of
wines from various countries and
participated in an auction featuring
a private tasting by Jean-Luc Le Dû.
The Evening’s Co-Chairs were George
Brokaw, Hannah McFarland, Duane
Hampton and Susan Burden. The event
benefitted The Carter Burden
Center’s programs and services
offered to seniors from Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
The
Carter
Burden Center for the Aging, Inc. is a non-profit
agency established in 1971 by the
late Carter Burden when he was a New
York City Councilman. The mission
is to promote the well-being of
older adults through a broad array
of direct social services and
volunteer programs oriented to
individual, family and community
