Palm Beach, FL – More than 300 guests sipped cocktails, danced and tried their luck in casino games- all to raise money to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions in Southern Florida. This year’s theme, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, transformed the ballroom into an eclectic, magical garden mixed with old Vegas style ambience. 

Created by co-chairwomen Andrea Kosoy, Nicole Munder, Crissy Poorman, Darcie Glazer Kassewitz and Tracy Smith, the gala fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Southern Florida took place at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.  The event featured sumptuous food, drinks, a fantasy raffle and a silent auction filled with luxurious travel items. The “fantasy” raffle was a new element added by the chairwomen this year and consisted of six fantasy items including two Super Bowl 2010 tickets, four Jonas Brothers tickets with backstage VIP meet and greet for any show on the 2009 tour, a pair of 25 carat Laura Munder Fine Jewelry blue topaz earrings, a 26 carat Laura Munder Fine Jewelry aquamarine cocktail ring, a one-of- kind children’s playhouse with interior finishes by C.Orrico of Palm Beach, and four tickets to any Tampa Bay Buccaneers regular season game, dinner with the team, tour of the facility and roundtrip airfare and hotel stay.  Guests could purchase as many tickets as they desired for a chance to win the prize of their choice.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida  is the fourth largest wish-granting chapter in  the world. Each year it fulfills more than 500 wishes to children who have life-threatening medical conditions in 13 South Florida counties. The Foundation’s mission in granting the wishes of these special children is to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
