19th
annual
Discovery
Ball
was
held
Saturday,
February
20,
at
The
Breakers.
The
enchanting
black-tie
evening
brought
together
civic,
business,
and
philanthropic
leaders
with
Dana-Farber
physicians
and
scientists
in
support
of
the
Institute’s
lifesaving
work.
Sheila,
Peter,
and
Leon
Palandjian
were
chairs
of
the
evening,
Michele
and
Howard
Kessler
were
honorary
chairs,
and
Patrick
Park
was
vice
chair.
Nearly
350
guests
attended
the
Ball
and
helped
raise
more
than
$1.3
million
for
cancer
research.
“This
year,”
said
Peter
Palandjian,
“despite
the
world’s
economic
turmoil,
we
have
achieved
our
ambitious
goal.
We
come
together
year,
year
after
year,
to
show
our
support
and
gratitude
to
an
institution
that
consistently
sets
the
highest
standards
in
the
world
for
research,
prevention,
and
cancer
care.”
