NEW YORK (July 1, 2010) -- FLIR Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: FLIR) the world leader in thermal imaging, will honor our Nation’s birthday and our military personnel by teaming up with San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito’s “Strikeouts For Troops®” organization to donate $500 for every strikeout thrown in every major league baseball game played on July 4th.

FLIR Systems, Inc will present the check to Strikeouts For Troops on Friday, July 9 when they host Wounded Warriors and their families at the Washington Nationals vs. San Francisco Giants game at Nationals Park in Washington DC.  Strikeouts For Troops will direct the money to the Fisher House Foundation to assist our wounded U.S troops and their families while they undergo treatment for injuries sustained during their service to our country, by transporting the families to the soldiers bedside, along with housing and feeding the families during their entire stay. Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes around the country to house the families of wounded warriors while they undergo treatment and rehabilitation at Veterans Affairs Hospitals and Medical Centers.
