42nd President of the United States
Bill Clinton and former Chairman and CEO of
KeySpan Corporation, Robert Catell, were
honored at the Annual Services for the UnderServed
Gala, “Celebrating Independence,” on Wednesday,
June 9th at 6:30 PM at the Allen Room and
Atrium in Frederick P. Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln
Center, located at 33 W 60th Street,
(between Broadway and Columbus Avenue), Manhattan.
Proceeds from the event benefit Services for the
Underserved, which provides housing and supportive
services to over 4,000 New Yorkers with diverse
special needs and multiple challenges, enabling them
to live with dignity in their communities, direct
their own lives, and attain personal fulfillment.
President Clinton accepted a Humanitarian Award via
video message.
The evening was hosted
by Harry Smith of CBS “The Early Show.”
Music was provided by Mary Wilson of The
Supremes. Also in
attendance were:
Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky, John
Catsimatidis, Robert Catell, Jeffrey Banks, Leslie
Biddle, Paul Reickhoff, Commissioner Rafael Cestero,
Commissioner Robert V. Hess, Marlene Hess,
Commissioner Michael Hogan and Bert Brodsky.
