HOSTS 700 AND RAISES $1 MILLION FOR LUNG CANCER RESEARCH

More than 700 guests attended this year’s Joan’s Legacy: Uniting Against Lung Cancer “Strolling Supper with Blues & News,” raising close to $1 million for lung cancer research, which took place at Gotham Hall on November 17, 2010. The night commemorated Lung Cancer Awareness Month in New York City with a strolling supper, a performance by Blues Great Delbert McClinton, and a remarkable silent auction. WABC News Anchor Bill Ritter and NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw Emceed the event, announced the new $1.2 Million in research grants and presented the journalism and lung cancer research progress awards.
