Acclaimed television, film and Broadway actress, and longtime children’s activist,
 “Law & Order SVU” star Stephanie March honored six extraordinary individuals for their efforts to dramatically improve children’s lives worldwide last night at the World of Children Awards VIP dinner at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.

Joining March were Bergdorf Goodman CEO Jim Gold, Ali Hewson (Bono’s wife), football legend and philanthropist Dan Marino, GLAMOUR Woman of the Year Jane Erickson, CNN national correspondent Alina Cho and the heads of major fashion houses, including Giorgio Armani, PRADA, Brunello Cucinelli, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Natori and Diane von Furstenburg.

“This year’s World of Children Awards honorees are an inspiring reminder of the extraordinary difference that one person can make in the lives of many. The nonprofit programs they have pioneered on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable children is an incredible testament to the power of good ideas and selfless dedication to serving others,” said March, who serves as the nonprofit’s celebrity ambassador.
