Andrus Children’s Center
Best for
Westchester Party :
170 friends of Andrus Children's Center gathered at X20 on
the waterfront in Yonkers October 14 to celebrate the agency's
annual Best for Westchester honorees. County Executive Robert Astorino welcomed the
guests and paid tribute to Andrus' service to more than 2500
children at nine sites around the county. Pictured with Mr.
Astorino are honorees: Patty Donovan Duff of the Bereavement
Center of Westchester, Ann Tucker of Rye Brook, Andrus CEO
Nancy Ment, and Roy Johnson, president of The Clubmen of
Westchester. Under the theme Nurture Hope in a Child and
the World Flourishes, Andrus has made its mark as the
premier provider of emotional illness services on its
historic 110 acre campus in Yonkers,
at mental health clinics in Peekskill, Yonkers and White
Plains. Andrus partners with the Yonkers and Peekskill school systems to provide mental
health services. The recent merger of Family & Community
Services of Eastchester into Andrus allows the agency to
supervise the early childhood center and after-school care
programs in that Town.
