PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN RAISES $125,000
AT
EIGHTH ANNUAL AUTUMN WINE AND FOOD TASTING EVENT
AT THE PRINCE GEORGE BALLROOM

New York – On October 5th over 150 guests including
New York City captains of industry and leaders in
philanthropy attended A Taste of the Good Life! –
and raised $125,000 to support Partnership with
Children’s mission to provide social and emotional
support to at-risk children so that they can succeed
in school and in life. The event, held at the
historic Prince George Ballroom, featured wines from
dozens of select vintners and food tastings from
some of New York’s most well-known chefs.
“I am pleased that during such difficult economic
times, people are still willing to invest in our
City’s most valuable resource – children,” said
Michelle Sidrane, Partnership with Children’s
Executive Director.
The evening featured tastings of fine wines from
Grapes: The Wine Company, and food from Daniel
Eardley of Chestnut; Matt Weingarten of Inside Park;
George McKirdy of Astor Bake Shop; Abe Hiroki of En
Japanese Brasserie; Melissa Lukin-Kotlyar of Sprig;
Rebecca Weitzman of Thistle Hill Tavern; Ivy Stark
of Dos Caminos and John Wincroft, smoked salmon
specialist.
A Taste of the Good Life also included a silent
auction featuring exclusive items including with a
James Beard dinner for six, a Chelsea Art Gallery
Tour, and VIP tickets to The Daily Show. In
addition, all wines samples at the event were
available for guests purchase with a portion of the
proceeds donated to Partnership with Children.

celebrates over 102 years of serving New York City’s children and families
in need. The agency’s school-based program -- Open
Heart-Open Mind -- reaches over 10,000 at-risk
children and adolescents each year through
individual and group counseling, and intervention
and preventative services. Its Center for Capacity
Building expands the impact of the agency’s work by
providing professional development and training
based on the organization’s best practices.
