Goodale mansion estate at The Point at the beginning
of
Peconic Bay, L.I. |
|
At
their superb estate on the Peconic Bay every summer,
Dhonna and Jesse "Bobby" Robinson Goodale III
organize a relaxing and glorious party beginning at
4pm in the evening that grows and grows 'till
whenever ...
There is always a mix of artists, entertainers, and
families, as well as accomplished business
executives from Long Island and around the country.
It is a benefit for the Tara L. Stevens Foundation
in memory of Dhonna's sister, Tara, a mother of 2
children who was killed by her husband in 2003.
This foundation offers scholarships to young
students so that they can further their education.
The Goodales are truly philanthropists who have
given a substantial 7 figure donation to the Peconic
Bay Medical Center, and helped both national and
international charities as well. Dhonna herself is
a gifted actress and singer who has performed on
stage in NYC, LI and with national touring
companies.
Last summer I introduced Dhonna to my dear 30 year
friend, Albert Maysles, world famous documentary
film maker of such classics as "The Beatles" in '64,
the Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter" in '69 and the
ever amazing "Grey Gardens" (
www.mayslesfilms.com ) to name a few.
Albert attended last year's party as well as this
recent August event. Albert and Dhonna are working
on some projects that will be announced soon.
The Goodales truly make a difference and bring "good
news" to all their activities. Bravo and
accelerando ...
"We believe when much is given, much is expected
