Aimed at creating a culture of transparency and
accountability, the Pearl Initiative serves as an incubator
for innovative partnerships transforming its principal goals
into measurable results, taking us one step further towards
the achievement of the United Nations Millennium
Development Goals. |
Aim of the Pearl Initiative
To
positively impact the business environment in the Arabian
Gulf region and encourage competitive economic growth and
sustainable social development, the Pearl Initiative aims
to:
|
-
Enable social dialogue and input from stakeholders, such as
business leaders, investors and the media to create a
culture of transparency and accountability.
-
Serve as a leadership model for business and academia
throughout the region.
-
Promote and support ethical behavior and business practices
that comply with international standards, codes of conduct
and ethical behavior.
-
Train and educate future generations of business leaders and
policy makers on the importance of corporate social
responsibility and personal social responsibility.
-
Provide a platform for global business and policy leaders to
develop new ideas and trends in the field.
-
Serve as an incubator for innovative partnerships to convert
corporate responsibility into concrete action.
