Monaco, August 5, 2011 - Recently crowned
H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco has undoubtedly
received many luxurious gifts in her honor, but tonight her
eye is on those given to her by Parisian Haute Joaillerie
Maison Van Cleef & Arpels.
In homage to the new Princess, the Maison has inaugurated an
exclusive space: the “Charlene Salon”, in its newly
renovated and redesigned boutique in the heart of Monte
Carlo. Van Cleef & Arpels has also created a limited
edition of 15 sets of “Princess Charlene Magic Alhambra”.
This
collection is a reinterpretation of the iconic Alhambra
motif. The set, consisting of a sautoir and dangling
earrings, is comprised of alternating and asymmetrical
clover motifs of pavé diamonds and turquoise. The design
evokes the shores of the Principality and is sold
exclusively at the Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique in Monaco. A
portion of the benefits from sales of this special
collection will go to the associations and foundations
endorsed by H.S.H. Princess Charlene. A set will be donated
this evening by Van Cleef & Arpels to the gala dinner at the
Red Cross Ball held in the famous Salle des Etoiles of the
Sporting Club on Monte Carlo.
The Red
Cross Ball marks H.S.H. Princess Charlene’s Royal debut
following her wedding. For this special evening, she will
wear the “Océan,” a unique piece designed for her by
Van Cleef & Arpels as a gift from H.R.H. Prince Albert of
Monaco for their celebrated nuptials. The “Océan”
exalts the timelessness and design that has made Van Cleef &
Arpels the chosen jeweler of the Royal set for generations.
In keeping with the transformational tradition of much of
the Van Cleef & Arpels High Jewelry, the “Océan” converts
seamlessly between a stunning necklace and a regal tiara fit
for a princess. |
