WALL STREET ROCKS
HOSTS BENEFIT CONCERT
FOR RESERVEAID
& WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
Wall Street Rocks hosted a sold-out benefit concert at
Irving Plaza on December 6th for ReserveAID and Wounded
Warrior Project. The night of music featured performances by
Direct Edge, The Chocolate Cuckoo Clocks, Moroccan
Sheepherders and The Lava Trading Band, comprised of
executives who work on Wall Street by day before getting on
stage at night. Supporters and corporate sponsors including
Morgan Stanley, Citihub, Savvis and Cisco helped raise over
$257,000 at this kickoff benefit.
Wall Street Rocks co-founder and JPMorgan Chase Managing
Director Peter Carrara welcomed guests including
bandmate and fellow organizer Neil Holstein,
Sharon Bush, Morgan Stanley Managing Director & Global
Head of Operations, Technology and Data Stephen Daffron
and Michele Gerber Klein. ReserveAID founder and
Morgan Stanley Managing Director Lucas Detor provided
a call to action, asking that the Wall Street community
continue to give back to our nation’s veterans. Wounded
Warrior Project Alumni Director and veteran John
Fernandez told the audience, “the greatest casualty is
being forgotten,” and that Wall Street Rocks ensures that
will not happen.
Wall Street Rocks is comprised of members of the financial,
technology and entertainment communities that have banded
together to support a variety of heroes charities. For its
inaugural fundraising event, Wall Street Rocks recognized
that the United States Armed Forces risk their lives
everyday to protect the rights of American citizens and the
time was now to give back to these brave men and women.
