NYC - June 21, 2o11 - Last night, the Foundation for Social
Change, a non-profit dedicated to educating young women and
girls in poverty around the world, launched the Leadership
Council 100 - is an exclusive global association of
individuals and organizations who support the core mission
of the Foundation for Social Change - eLife - Economic
Opportunity for Women & Girls education program teaching
life and business skills to drive economic progress in
disadvantaged areas around
the world.
The Leadership Council 100 support of educating women and
girls gives the global community an untapped resource for
empowerment and financial stability. The Foundation partners
with local NGOs to offer the eLife program in under
developed countries around the world, including Colombia,
India, Kenya, Indonesia and Brazil. As we go forward, with
your help, more countries will come on board thereby
expanding and scaling our impact on the global community.
The Leadership Council is invitation-only, and members are
privy to high-level briefings, site visits to partner
locations, and participation in the annual United Nations
Global Conference for Social Change and Women & Girls
Education Summit to be held on October 5-6 in New York.
