Andrew Zolli, curator and executive director of PopTech,
www.poptech.org,
discussed new trends in social innovation at the NYU School
of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) on April
18. Co-author of the recently-published book,
Resilience: The Science of
Why Things Bounce Back, Zolli challenges
nonprofits, corporations, thought leaders and innovators
from multiple fields to create solutions to the world's most
pressing problems, and to bring about lasting and positive
change.
Hosted by the
George H. Heyman, Jr., Center for Philanthropy and
Fundraising at NYU-SCPS, the “Philanthropy 3.0” speaker
series features regional and national leaders in
philanthropy innovation debating technological and
philosophical changes in the sector, including new
developments in social media, cause video, the social
enterprise movement, microphilanthropy, and mobile
fundraising.
This event was presented in collaboration with the NYU
Reynolds Program in Social Entrepreneurship and the SCPS
Heyman Center Alumni Network.
