New Hope Charities 2012 Toy Give-Away
Santa's special stop in Pahokee
delights thousands of deserving children
PAHOKEE, Fla. (December 19, 2012) - New Hope Charities
hosted its 18th annual Toy Give-Away on Thursday, December
13 at the New Hope Charities Family Center. Santa's special
visit brought smiles and holiday gifts to children from the
Tri-Cities communities-Belle Glade, Pahokee and South
Bay-who might not otherwise receive a toy for Christmas.
Toys were generously donated by New Hope Charities'
supporters including Mattel, Hasbro, HSA Engineers &
Scientists and individual donors. In 2011, New Hope
Charities was able to fulfill a child's wish of a toy for
Christmas for more than 2,000 kids. This year, close to
3,000 gifts were distributed to deserving children in the
Glades area.
The much-anticipated event was open to the public and
included family festivities and lunch with more than 3,000
hot dogs and holiday refreshments.
