New York, NY— Noted
philanthropist and NewYork-Presbyterian
Trustee Iris Cantor was joined
by John Mack, Chairman of the
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Board of
Trustees; Dr. Steven J. Corwin,
CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital;
Dr. Mehmet and Lisa Oz; Dr.
Daniel Knowles, Chief Medical
Officer of the Weill Cornell Physician
Organization; Dr. Steven Kaplan,
Director of the Iris Cantor Men's Health
Center, and nearly 200 guests to
celebrate the dedication of the Iris
Cantor Men’s Health Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill
Cornell Medical Center.
The ribbon-cutting
ceremony took place on Monday, May 7.
Attendees included Dr. Herbert
Pardes, Executive
Vice Chairman of the Board, New
York-Presbyterian Hospital and New
York-Presbyterian Healthcare System;
Frank Bennack, Jr., Chief
Executive Officer, Vice Chairman of the
Board at NewYork-Presbyterian; Dr.
Robert Kelly, President of NewYork-Presbyterian
Hospital; and Dr. Laura Forese,
Group Senior Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill
Cornell.
Established with a
$20 million gift from Iris Cantor, the
Center will occupy the 12th floor of 425
E. 61st St. in Manhattan, the same
building as the women’s health center.
The first of its kind in the region, the
center will open its doors in July 2012
and will provide the same kind of
comprehensive care the Iris Cantor
Women's Health Center has provided to
women since it opened a decade ago.
